Macrocyclic Manganese(I) Complexes
A manganese(I) complex containing a chiral (NH)2P2 macrocycle catalyzes the asymmetric transfer hydrogenation of a broad scope of aryl alkyl ketones with unprecedented enantioselectivities for this metal ranging from 90 to 99% ee. Non-covalent interactions between the incoming substrate and the macrocylic ligand account for the excellent enantioselection.
